The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development and lifecycle management of the company's product portfolio. The role ensures that customer requirements, market developments, technical capabilities and commercial objectives are translated into competitive products and sustainable growth opportunities.
The responsibilities for this role will be:
Product Portfolio Management
- Own and continuously develop the global product portfolio across blasting abrasives and industrial minerals.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle from product introduction to phase-out.
- Define portfolio priorities and support portfolio simplification.
- Monitor product profitability and recommend portfolio improvements.
- Identify customer needs and translate them into new product concepts.
- Lead product development projects in collaboration with Operations, Procurement and Quality.
- Support the introduction of sustainable and innovative product solutions.
- Evaluate new raw materials, applications and technologies.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive developments.
- Build structured customer and application knowledge.
- Identify new applications and market opportunities.
- Develop business cases for new products and portfolio extensions.
- Develop compelling product positioning and customer value propositions.
- Support value-based pricing together with Sales.
- Prepare product documentation, technical data sheets and application guides.
- Support strategic customer projects, key tenders and technical presentations.
- Deliver product and application training to Sales teams and distributors.
- Act as the central interface between Sales, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality.
- Ensure customer requirements are reflected in product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
- Coordinate product launches and product changes across all functions.
- Support continuous product improvement initiatives.
